Amy Brooks

My childhood was not filled with kitty cats and rainbows. Instead, it was shaped by hardship, resilience, and lessons in survival that came far too early. Struggle wasn’t just something I faced—it was something that pursued me, shaping the person I would become. The challenges of my early life made me tough, sometimes even difficult, but they also gave me a depth of understanding and a story worth telling.

For years, I kept my past locked away, hidden even from my closest friends. But a conversation with my friend and author-publisher, Jason Eaglespeaker, changed everything. He helped me see the power of storytelling—not just for personal catharsis but as a way to connect, inspire, and uplift others. That realization led me to write *Amy*, my first book, and stepping into this new world of authorship felt both liberating and terrifying. Sharing my truth meant exposing parts of myself that had long remained in the shadows.

Today, I am blessed in ways I never imagined. Life has transformed, but my past remains an integral part of who I am. Writing *Amy* was just the beginning. As I put my story into words, I realized that my message—of survival, resilience, and overcoming—extends far beyond a single book. This is just the start of a journey, with many more stories to tell and truths to unveil.
