Samantha Lee is a Choctaw - born in Jackson, Mississippi, and grew up just north of there in Yazoo County.

In her childhood she was surrounded by animals and went on many adventures with them. A mountain of childhood memories were made. She was not privileged with some of the same necessities other children her age. Because of that she learned at an early age to make the best life possible with very little.

While reading books as a youth, she discovered she could do anything she set her mind to. This inspired her passion for reading and she wants to spark this passion in children everywhere.
