Once a year, the Haudenosaunee people gather to listen to the Elders share stories of how the journey of the Peace Maker brought peace to their nations. The Protector of Peace is a small story within the Peace Maker's journey.

A baby Eagle is born from an egg. As the days pass, his mom tells baby Eagle about his gifts from the Creator. Then one evening, his dad tells baby Eagle about his purpose from the Peace Maker. As baby Eagle sleepily gazes at his dad, he drifts into a dream of growing up to be the Protector of Peace.
